Exploring the SCMAGLEV and Railway Park in Nagoya

SCMAGLEV and Railway Park - A must visit in Nagoya!

I'm Japanese Blogger😀

Let me take you to a fascinating spot in Japan!
Today’s destination is the SCMAGLEV and Railway Park in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture.

Operated by Central Japan Railway Company, this impressive train museum showcases the evolution of Japan’s railways — from historic local trains to the iconic Shinkansen (bullet trains), and even the next-generation SCMAGLEV (Superconducting Maglev).

But it’s not just about trains on display. Inside, you’ll find hands-on train driving simulators, the largest railway diorama in Japan, an immersive theater experience, 3D projection mapping, and various exhibits about high-speed rail technology.

If you want to explore everything at a relaxed pace, you’ll want to spend at least half a day here.

Pro tip: If you’re hoping to try one of the train simulators, make sure to visit the Information Desk as soon as you arrive — spots are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis!
